Megan's Law & Registered Sex Offenders

About the Program
Within the State of California, persons who are convicted of committing specific sex-related offenses are required to register with state and local law enforcement. Following the passage of Megan's Law in 1996, information on sex offenders was made available to the public.

Available Information
A new law recently made additional information available to concerned citizens. If you would like to view the Sex Offender database, please visit the Office of the Attorney General's website. The site also provides information on how to protect yourself and your family, facts about sex offenders, and more.
